Hello!
Welcome to my website for my NYS licensed childcare center, Snacks & Naps Childcare. My name is Michelle Lockwood, owner and director. My center is located at 63 Colonial Drive, Horseheads, NY 14845.
I would like to take a moment to let you know a little about myself.
I have lived in the Corning/Horseheads area for most of my life. I received my Bachelors degree from Elmira College and my Masters degree from American University in Washington D.C.
I have been in the childcare field for nearly 20 years, serving a majority of that time as a lead teacher and classroom supervisor, having extensive experience teaching infants, toddlers and preschoolers. I am certified in CPR/First Aid, MAT trained (Medication Administration Training) and have experience with the administration of Epi-pens as well as asthma management.
At my center I have a strong, research based curriculum and offer a variety of educational, developmentally & age appropriate learning materials and activities. My approach focuses on the development of the whole child and builds a strong foundation in order to achieve school readiness and future academic success.
